This policy explains what EJ Media LLC (“EJ Media”, “we”, “us”) collects through this website, how we use it and the choices you have.
Who we are
EJ Media LLC is a sports video and social media studio based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, working with clients across the United States and Canada. You can reach us at ethan@ej-media.net or (262) 470-9702.
What we collect
What you send us. Our forms ask for the following. Anything marked optional on the form is up to you.
- Book a call and the contact form: name, email, phone, team, program or event, your role, what you need, timeline, budget and your message.
- Start a plan: name, email, phone, team or program, your role, the plan you’re interested in, your current social accounts, when your season starts and your message.
- Apply to join: name, email, phone, where you’re based, your roles, a link to your work, experience, availability, gear and your message.
We also keep what you send us if you email, call or text us directly.
What’s collected automatically. Our website host, Cloudflare, may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and page views. Cloudflare says this doesn’t use cookies or browser storage, or fingerprint visitors. We don’t use advertising trackers on this site.
How we use it
- To reply to you, prepare quotes and plan projects.
- To review applications to join our creative network.
- To manage our work with clients and keep business records.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we won’t add you to a marketing list without your consent.
Who handles it for us
- Web3Forms delivers form submissions to our inbox. As part of its spam checks, its privacy policy says it may share your IP address and email with CleanTalk and Akismet.
- HoneyBook is where we manage inquiries and client projects.
- Google hosts our email.
- Vimeo plays our films. Its player only loads when you press play.
- Cloudflare hosts this site and provides our visitor counts.
Most of these providers are based in the United States, so if you’re in Canada or elsewhere, your information may be stored and processed outside your country, under different laws.
We may also share information if the law requires it. Links to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn take you to those services, whose own policies apply.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our own code doesn’t set cookies, and our visitor counts don’t use them. When you press play on a film, Vimeo’s player may set its own cookies, including security cookies. We load it with its do-not-track setting on. If we add anything that uses cookies, we’ll update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Because we don’t track visitors across websites, we don’t change how the site works in response to browser “do not track” signals.
Photos and video of athletes
This site shows photos and video from events we cover, including high school athletes. If you, or your child, appear in something on this site and want it reviewed or removed, contact us and we’ll look at it promptly.
Children
This site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries and applications for 1 year, and client records for as long as we need them for the work and for our legal and tax obligations.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by contacting us. We’ll respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, including Canada and some US states, you may have further rights under local law.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no system is completely secure. Please don’t send sensitive details, such as payment information, through our forms.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here and update the effective date.
